The origin of the tie can be traced back to the 17th century in France. At that time, Croatian soldiers wore a type of cloth strip called a "cravat," which attracted the attention of the French. The court of Louis XIV showed great interest in this accessory and began to imitate and adopt this style. Over time, this cloth strip gradually evolved into the tie we know today, which became more common in the 19th century and an important part of formal attire.
